Anti-Spam Policy

Xirlynx has a zero-tolerance anti-spam policy to protect the delivery rates and reputation of our customers. Our team actively monitors your email lists and emails going to a large number of contacts. Any customer found to be using our email marketing services for spam will be immediately terminated without any refunds given. Simply stated, we are anti-spam. We hold the privacy of all customers in the highest regard, as well as the recipients of emails sent by our customers. If you feel one of our customers has sent you spam, please email us immediately at support@xirlynx.com and we'll immediately take steps to solve the problem.


The Singapore CAN-SPAM Act

Singapore’s Spam Control regime provides a framework in which email advertisers must follow. Some of these guidelines include the use of labels <ADV> to mark a message as "Advertisement", and to offer a mandatory unsubscribe option. Non-compliance with these requirements could result in civil penalties for the email advertiser.

To comply with the regime, each email advertisement must have:

  1. Contact information - That can be in the form of an email address, an Internet location address, a telephone number, a facsimile number or a postal address that a recipient can use to submit an unsubscribe request. It is strongly suggested that this contact takes the same form as the email message itself – an email advertisement should offer an automated unsubscribe facility, or through email.

  2. Clear statement – This will state explicitly for the recipient that he or she could use the above contact to submit an unsubscribe request. This statement should be in English. But if the statement is presented in two or more languages, the English language shall be one of the languages.

The above contact should be a valid contact for at least 30 days, that could receive unsubscribe requests from recipients of the email advertisement. The use of this contact should not cost the sender of unsubscribe request more than the usual cost of using such a contact.

Once an unsubscribe request is submitted, the email advertiser should remove the recipient’s electronic mail address from the mailing list within 10 business days. Anyone who receives the unsubscribe request should not disclose the information to others, except with permission from the sender of the unsubscribe request.

Responsible email marketing includes the simple courtesy of correctly informing the recipients about the content of the message. So, each email advertisement should include:

  1. Correct and not misleading title in the subject field of the message, if the message has a subject field.
  2. <ADV> before the title of the message, or in the case where there is no subject field, before the actual content of the message.
  3. Correct and non-misleading header information where applicable.
  4. An accurate and functional email address or telephone number by which the advertiser could readily be contacted.
  5. A mandatory automated unsubscribe facility.
